Is MilkNotes HIPAA compliant?

Yes! We have taken the best steps to make sure everything exceeds HIPAA compliance! This includes, but is not limited to, two-factor authentication, secure file backup, and management of user security for access to files and charts so that no one sees information if they aren’t supposed to. Everything from end to end is fully encrypted!

How do I access Milknotes? Do I need to download anything? Is internet access required?

MilkNotes is a “web-app” therefore is accessible over the internet on any device with a modern browser. For the best experience, we recommend using Safari on Apple devices and Chrome everywhere else.

No apps to download and update – simply refresh your browser to get the latest and greatest version of MilkNotes.

What devices is Milknotes compatible with?

MilkNotes is a web-based application that can be accessed from any device with a modern browser. It is compatible with Windows, Apple or Android smart phones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers. We recommend Safari browser on Apple devices and Chrome everywhere else.

How do I use VideoCare?

We’ve made VideoCare very simple to use. No need to install 3rd party apps or plugins. It is truly embedded in the app which makes it really easy to perform a video visit and enter chart details simultaneously. The VideoCare pod can be expanded to reveal a large video window of your parent, or minimized to a thumbnail and dragged around the screen.

Each VideoCare Visit you create will show a VideoCare button near the parents name. You can enter the VideoCare “room” 10 minutes prior to the visit. Upon completion of your visit, close the VideoCare session.

What sort of features can we expect in the future?

In Feb 2019, we added a bevy of features including Secure Messaging, e-Faxing and VideoCare. We are continually improving MilkNotes based on the feedback we get from our users and community. Please drop us a suggestion on the Contact page.  We’d love to hear from you!

Do I need to have a PayPal account to pay?

No! We use Stripe to safely and securely process transactions.

What happens to my files and charts if I discontinue service?

They are kept in storage in accordance with our Terms of Use Policy.
